The finalists for the Extend Firefox competition have be announced. To be honest, there’s nothing particularly revolutionary there as most of the extensions in the finals have been out for a while.

There seem to be 3 extensions which implement a feature to show thumbnails of all the tabs: Firefox Showcase, Reveal and Viamatic foXpose. I don’t really understand this fad: I’ve never used this in Internet Explorer and I’ve never found it particularly useful to use in Firefox.

My personal favourite is Sage. I use this extension extensively on a daily status. I’m not sure how different Wizz RSS Reader is from Sage – the screenshots show that they are pretty similar. 

Web Developer Toolbar is also a fantastic extension but nothing new as it’s been around for ages.
